04 Sep Macaron by Go bake yourself
I’m Uru (also known as Choc Chip Uru, Ru and a copious amount of other names!)! I am pretty much defined by my absolute obsession with chocolate, and desire to take photos of food more than people and places!
HOW WOULD YOU DESCRIBE YOUR BLOG “GO BAKE YOURSELF” AND YOUR COOKING STYLE?
HOW DO YOU GET INSPIRED?
My inspiration actually comes from other bloggers, there is nothing cooler than seeing amazing creations come out of an ordinary, everyday kitchen! I can’t name them, because there are too many, but they inspire me each time I am in the kitchen!
WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE RESTAURANT IN SYDNEY?
I adore Red Lantern, Vietnamese flavours are just so exotic and wonderful! But even as I typed that, I was thinking of Italian, Indian, Chinese and Thai restaurants… it’s an obsession!
YOUR BLOG IN 1 SENTENCE?
Food porn extreme.
SINCE 2012…
Urvashi is very young and yet, her blog Go Bake Yourself is among the 50 top in Sydney. This may be because she started baking at 10…or because she is obsessed with food…
Urvashi also known as Choc Chip Uru (guess why…) is a passionate baker. She will take you through all kind of dessert recipes from tarts to cakes, from cupcakes to brownies including ice creams and even candies. Nothing complicated, though, always achievable by all!
Today, she is sharing her Tropical Macaron recipe with Passionfruit shells and Mango ganache buttercream. For the Passionfruit shell, she got inspired from Delicious Delicious Delicious and for the mango ganache, she got inspired from The Macaron Diaries. She took the best from each blog, reworked it a little bit and obtained this perfect macaron recipe… Enjoy!

WHY THIS PASSIONFRUIT AND MANGO MACARON RECIPE?
My macarons were made to decorate the cake I made for my brother’s 21st birthday, which makes it an extra special recipe since it was such a huge occasion!
